Immigration Lawyer is a legal advisory firm where the client comes first in a very literal sense: we are reachable, we explain what we are doing, and we measure ourselves on outcomes rather than hours billed. Good legal help should not be something only a few people can afford, so we keep our prices honest without letting the standard of the work slip.

What drives us
Legal work built around the person, not the file
Immigration Lawyer is an advisory firm with a short list of principles it refuses to bend on, and those principles show up in every case file we open.
An immigration matter is rarely a matter of one rule. Family reunification, citizenship and permanent residence each have their own logic, and having someone beside you who works with them daily changes what is realistic.
You do not always need a courtroom lawyer for a citizenship case. In most situations a legal advisor who lives inside immigration practice is exactly the right person for the job.
Our first purpose is to get results, and we get them by working closely with the client and by explaining our reasoning in language that does not need decoding.
Our second purpose is a reaction to where the legal market has drifted: fees in this industry have climbed year after year, and we did not want to climb with them.
We do not accept that legal help is a privilege for the few. That belief sits behind our motto, "Affordable Justice", and behind the way we set our prices.
Being easy to reach matters just as much. For the first meeting we are happy to travel to your address rather than ask you to travel to ours.
We deliberately practise in a narrow field. Saying no to everything else is what lets us say yes with confidence, and it is our clients' guarantee that their case is handled by someone who has seen it before.
Citizenship, family reunification, permanent residence, appeals before the Immigration Appeals Board, visitor visas, work permits, whichever of these brings you here, we can take it from beginning to end.
Danish immigration rules are dense and they move. Knowing where they currently stand is half of what keeps a case on schedule and out of trouble.

Where this started
A few words from our founder
Immigration Lawyer began with one straightforward conviction: that qualified legal advice should be within reach of ordinary people. When I set the firm up I wanted a practice built on empathy, on saying plainly what we can and cannot do, and on treating each case as though the outcome mattered to us personally, because it does.
I spent several years working inside the Danish immigration authorities. I saw from that side how heavy and impenetrable the system can feel to the person waiting on a decision, and helping people through it became the work I wanted to do.

Founder and Legal Advisor
Mizgin Secilmis
Master of Laws, University of Copenhagen
Mizgin took his Master of Laws at the University of Copenhagen in 2018 and went on to spend several years at the Danish Immigration Service, working almost entirely on immigration matters. That gave him a working picture of how these cases are actually assessed from the inside, which parts of a file get scrutinised, and which arguments carry weight.
He is reachable to a degree most clients do not expect, and exacting about the work itself. Where an extra step improves the odds, he takes it.
He also insists that clients understand the advice they are given. Nobody should have to nod along to something they do not follow, least of all when their residence in a country depends on it.
That is the standard across the firm: sound legal advice, delivered to someone who feels heard rather than processed. Every case is a person with something real at stake.
